WHAT: 48 Hour Film Project

The 48 Hour Film Project is a short film competition where teams have just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film! On Friday, September 15 we will draw a genre out of a hat – from drama, comedy, or horror to documentary, sci-fi, or romance and more. We won't know until then! We are also assigned a prop, line of dialog, and a character all of which need to be in the film. Once those elements are known, we will write a short story (that Friday night) to begin filming on Saturday, September 16th with you! We will then edit and turn in a finished short film on Sunday.

Prior to the competition we can build our team and secure a location. We intend on doing a Civil War related story and that is where you come in. If you have proper period related wardrobe and a passion for filming, fun, and competition, we want you on our team!

Per the rules of the competition, this is an all-volunteer cast and crew. The finished short film will screen in a movie theater. If our film wins the city-wide competition it will go on to compete in the world-wide competition.

CLICK HERE to see 48 hour films we have done in the past (Gift Horse, The Photograph, The Passenger, and The Fourth Degree). This year's Civil War attempt will is our most ambitious attempt yet, as we intend to break a world record doing it!
